VHA Airport parking update

Sep 5, 2019 | News

Plans are in discussion to improve VHA parking at Melbourne Airport by combining the VHA and 10 minute pickup areas to increase available spaces from 110 to 400.

This week we met with Melbourne Airport senior executives to discussion options to resolve ongoing complaints by hire car and pre-booked taxi operators at the decreased and difficult access at the airport.

The proposed VHA entry will be from Centre Road and plans include the diversion of T123 carpark to the east of the new combined area to ensure separate exit flows. This solution eliminates the current conflict between rentals and VHA vehicles exiting carparks.

We continue to work with Airport executive to resolve issues for CPV operators, including campaigning for the end of touting in Victoria.
