VCAT win for the Ferntree Gully Community

Jul 13, 2022 | Advocacy, Electorate, News

Congratulations to the incredible community in the Ferntree Gully foothills who last Friday won their case in VCAT to stop an unsuitable development in their residential zoned street!
I visited the site last year and saw firsthand just how intrusive and inappropriate this 12-metre high development would be. In response, I sponsored a petition to stop this development and tabled the petition in Parliament this February.
This is a massive win for local residents and speaks to the passion and hard work of the community who have pushed back the entire way. Outcomes like these are rare. It takes a lot of work to go up against these cash hungry developers.
Congratulations!
