Unintended Consequences? We knew!

Aug 24, 2023 | News

Much has been said about the unfair and unreasonable way the Andrews Government removed taxi and hire car licences to accommodate Uber, leaving thousands of small business owners with legacy debts some with hundreds of thousands $$$. This photo at Melbourne Airport of the hire car parking area at 0820hrs on a Monday morning at Virgin shows the consequences of the decision to abandon thousands of licensed and legitimate small businesses. Pre the reforms of 2017 we use to fight for a parking spot! Now the only one car (mine) is there in peak period. Congratulations! They wonder why so many drivers are touting?
