Rod Barton, Andre Baruch and Nadav Prawer, after a power of work we got into a position to bring this action to Maurice Blackburn lawyers. I want to thank Andre and Nadav, if it wasn’t for them I believe this case would never have got started. Thank you to the team at Maurice Blackburn for supporting (again) vulnerable workers who needed their help!
“Maurice Blackburn has filed a class action against Uber on behalf of participants in the taxi, hire-car, limousine and charter vehicle industry. We started this class action in response to losses suffered by drivers, licence owners, and operators, when Uber entered the Australian market.”
There is mediation in early December however based on Uber’s strategy so far it is unlikely to be resolved. However…..?
“Trial in this proceeding is scheduled to take place from 4 March 2024 until 17 May 2024.”
This Class action has been long time coming and I am relieved it’s coming to a conclusion one way or another.
I’m proud over 8000 commercial passenger vehicle operators and their families have held this mammoth American organisation to account.
Thank you all!
