The Future of Transport Matters Party

Jun 23, 2023 | News

It is with much sadness and regret that I have made the difficult decision to shut down the Transport Matters Party (TMP)

While the recent membership drive would have achieved numbers to re register the party with the Victorian Electoral Commission, we are not going to achieve sufficient numbers in my view, to be successful.

I want to thank all those who joined with Andre Baruch and myself to form TMP 7 months out from the 2018 state election, where we took on the major parties and won the seat of Eastern Metropolitan Region.

I am extremely proud and grateful of my TMP team, for the support they gave me personally and their hard work at the most difficult times. They never blinked at the workload and they stayed the course.

My Parliamentary team who put in so much effort to make sure that we were across the complexity of each piece of legislation, their commitment, friendship and support I’ll always appreciate.

No one will be able to say that we didn’t leave any stone unturned in pursuit of our goals. We are proud of the way we went about things and what we achieved in our time in Parliament, of course we always wanted more.

Thank you to all those who supported us and shared this amazing journey.
