Tax Cuts

Jan 25, 2024 | News

From today’s Herald Sun today a scale of the new stage 3 tax cuts. Lot of people are whipping themselves into a frenzy over Albanese Government stage 3 tax cuts because they changed their position in the best interest of the majority of workers. It’s pretty simple to understand that those earning under 150k will be better off and those earning over 150k less so

I certainly don’t support tax cuts to politicians, bankers, lawyers and CEO’s etc. They get looked after well enough as it is. The true crime in regard to tax reform is the multinationals who operate and make billions in sales in Australia and then move the profits offshore, they pay minimal tax in this country, if you make it here you should be taxed here!
We still have in this country working people, those who are not protected by Awards, who earn below the minimum wage, many not making a living wage, receive no sick leave, no holiday pay, no maternity leave, no long service leave etc.

I’m not going to lose any sleep because someone on over $150k didn’t get a bigger tax cut. There are far more serious issues if you are taxi driver or rideshare driver or work in the gig economy.
