Coercive control is a pattern of domination that includes tactics to isolate, degrade, exploit and control a person. It is a non-physical form of violence.
They have lowered the bar on safety so low you can now stub your toe on it when you are trying to get over it.
This inquiry will give a voice to these children and hopefully prevent them from suffering the consequences of the actions of their parent.
I have not been convinced by the government that this bill is needed right now. We are coming out of this pandemic. This bill is not the be-all and end-all. I do not accept the urgency.
